VICTORIA – Health System in British Columbia will save U.S. $ 34 million over the next six years in software and related services to a new contract between Microsoft and the BC Health Authority Shared Services Organization (SSO) said Minister Kevin Falcon Services health.
“Although we are increasing the budget for health care by about 15 per cent over the next three years, we still have challenges in the system,” said Falcon. “To date, through the Organisation of services shared, we could save U.S. $ 115.5 million. By using this innovative model of shopping and take advantage of our purchasing power of provinces, we are able to put those savings back into the system health for patients to go to primary care. “
